Practices :: Rights of Whaiora
The rights of Tangata Whaiora and all people are important to us and therefore we would like to share our thinking with you.
That we are respectful of your beliefs and values
That we treat you fairly
That your dignity and independence is honoured
That we have proper standards and skills in place
That there's good communication and that we listen
That there's good information and we explain things
That you decide or can change your mind
That you can have a support person
That your views and rights matter
That you can complain and ask what the procedures are and that you can have access to a support person of your choice
Infact we here at Te Awa o Te Ora encourage heaps of talking to work things through so that solutions for everyone is created. You can go to the Kaiarahi or the Kaiwhakahaere at any time you want. And do you know it is absolutely fair that this thinking is applied to Kaimahi as well because we do not believe there should be different values as everyone regardless of status is entitled to be treated equally. Infact the Boss more than often will not make a decision but rather help to facilitate one.
